Louisiana Fun

In 2 days, my family and I will be sitting at my parent's house in Louisiana. We decided this year to go home for Christmas and well... Christmas came so fast.

I will stick to my normal posting after the New Year... I will have plenty of things to post about our trip... so stay tuned. I will also break it up into multiple posts so it doesn't seem so long. But this momma, needs a break from all things...

I hope everyone one of you has a blessed and Merry Christmas and an even better New Year. 2020 is going to be a big year for myself and I can not wait!

Oh... and I am sure I will share about Baby Yoda often. I am loving the new Star Wars show called the Mandalorian on Disney Plus. Loving it! I can not get enough of BABY YODA!

Favorite Christmas Tradition

My favorite Christmas tradition that I started the first Christmas after I got a divorce is...

Each Christmas, either before or after Christmas, the kiddo and I will go and get a new ornament for our tree. My idea is one day we can get rid of all the balls and just use our special ornaments that we have collected over the years.

Once I got married and my husband and the oldest joined our family, they were added to this tradition as well... so now, every year we get at least 4 new ornaments, if not more.

We are going to Louisiana this year for Christmas, so our new ornaments have been bought already. We won't have time to look before or after, so this works.

Our new 2019 ornaments are:
- Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas
- 2019 with Jack's face in the 0 from the Nightmare Before Christmas
- A coffee mug with the Friends Logo on it
- A set of 4 Game of Thrones ornaments. Each one has the crest from each house.
- An ornament that says Believe
- An ornament that says I so love us

Those are our new ones. I got a few extra's this year because they were on sale.

Christmas Party Fun

My husband and I had a wonderful time at his work Christmas party. He was even able to go with me this time. The last party, he had to work and ended up getting there late. But, this year, we enjoyed the whole evening together.

They had a wonderful food buffet with prime rib and pork. They had a dessert table. They had casino night where you won fake money and go to trade them in for tickets to try to win prizes. We didn't win this year... however the year before we won 3 gifts, so I wasn't expecting to win this year.

I love my husband and how hard he works for our family. And I love his company. He has some great co-workers and bosses and let's just say they love my banana bread. To the point that they even told me that he might still have his job because they don't want to lose the banana bread. BAHAHAHAHAHA...

Just a few pictures from our evening... PS... my best friend now works at the same company as well, so we got to hang out as well... (Her husband is the one who got my husband the job, so even if she didn't work there she would still be there... )

Favorite Christmas Songs

My favorite song of all time is...

O Holy Night

I love when Celine Dion sings it, but any version is good.

And my 2nd favorite song is...

Once Upon a Christmas, but Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
