What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?

Moving to Washington State when I was 19 years old.
Never looked back. Never regretted moving.
I love my life up here.

Yes, I miss my family down there, but I was never made for small town living.
God's beauty is everywhere up here and it is what kept me here!

Camp Bound

Where did the time go?
When did my baby girl become so grown up?

Okay. So, I know 11 is not so grown up. However, she is definitely not a baby anymore. And she is definitely not a toddler anymore. She is considered a pre-teen. I can't even handle that!

~ Today was a first time ever experience for all of us.
~ Today, I dropped by baby girl off at school.
~ Today, I dropped her off with a suitcase filled with bedding and a duffle bag filled with clothing and her necessities.
~ Today, I dropped my baby off knowing I will not see her for 77 hours. That equals 3 1/2 days.

~ Today, I dropped my baby girl off knowing that I would not hear her voice for that time frame as well.

Now, we have been away from her for a week at a time. I am away from her when she goes to her dad's on her weeks with them. And he is away from when she is with us. And we have both been away from her for 10 days when she went to Louisiana. Only difference is, we were able to Facetime her and see her beautiful smiling face. We talked to her every night.

This morning was the last time I would hug her or talk to her or kiss her smiling face for 77 hours people! It might not seem like so long to you, but to me it feels like eternity!

This morning she was so excited. We backed out of the drive way and she says... momma, I already see the tears in your eyes. I played it off. The principal was waiting and he grabbed her luggage and loaded it into the trailer and he said smiling, "we might bring her back." I did NOT cry one drop in front of her. I was a strong momma. My heart ached, but it was filled with joy and excitement for her. I drove away and one small tear fell.

She is going to have so much fun and I can NOT wait to see her on Friday and hear all her stories she will have to share!

What is your favorite quote?

You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. - C.S. Lewis

This is a quote I read a lot after my divorce. I was so devastated that I was divorcing with a baby, but this quote and many songs got me through it and this is how I live my life now. Day by day. I am going to make sure my ending is great!

My PawPaw

The Last Supper

He passed away February 22nd and he left all his first grandchildren some money so I decided to buy this beautiful piece of art. He had this in his dining room at his house every since I can remember. His frame was gold and it was a little bigger.

I opened the package it was shipped in and I just cried. It is so beautiful and it reminds me every time I look at it of the memories we have had at his house.

Oh, the Places You'll Go

I bought this book right before my kiddo started kindergarten. Every year I have her teachers sign. Some years we have more teachers than one which is nice to be able to fill this book up for her. I think after is done with school, I will have her close friends and family sign the book as well.

What a special way to end her school years before she is off to college. She will get to read the special messages that have been left by all her favorite teachers.

One of the best idea's I have ever started for her!
