365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 216

What has been the most difficult thing you have had to forgive?

My divorce and all the drama that surrounded that time of my life.
It took me quite a few years after my divorce to finally get to a place where I not only forgave my ex, but I forgave myself as well. I was very hard on myself with the fact that I got divorced with a baby, but it happened and all I could do was move on.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 215

Describe your family dynamic as a kid and how is it now?

We were a very close family. My dad worked hard and my mom was a stay at home mom. She was always home when we got there. She was always cooking and baking. My brothers were older and they were always doing their own thing.

We are even closer now. Its weird, that when you are growing up sometimes you dislike your siblings because of this or that. But as you are older you grow fonder of them and the love is even more real! I love those 2 men more than I can ever express.

And my dad... he is my hero.

And my mom... she can just out cook me no matter what I cook! Ha. I love her dearly!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 206

What news do you fear hearing?

Death's in my family or with my friends.

February 19th of this year, I got tickets to fly home and visit with my PawPaw. He was not doing too well, so my brother and his wife bought my ticket to fly home and spend some time with him.

3 days later my dad called me to tell me that he passed away. I never got to spend just one more time with him. My heart was broken. I did pray for God to take him when it is his time and if it was before I got home, I would eventually be okay. It was his time and he is up there dancing around with my MawMaw who passed away 30 years ago.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 205

What is the most difficult thing about being married?

One big difficult things is time apart when we have to be away from each other for work or for emergency travel. Sleeping apart is definitely hard after being together for so long.

Another thing is the disagreements that we have.
We are 2 very stubborn people and when we disagree we are very strong in our opinions. We are not the perfect couple, but together we are everything.

I love that man so much! Even when we are angry at each other!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 204

What is your birthing story?

My daughter was due March 24, 2008.
She decided to enter the world 3 weeks early!
Well, I should say the doctor helped that along.

I went in for a normal check up. They did an ultrasound and told me that she would be over 9 pounds when she was born. It freaked us out just a bit. When we went back to see the doctor, during her exam she popped my water bag.

Whether we were ready or not, she was coming soon.
I went to the bathroom to get cleaned up and when I got back they had a wheelchair waiting for me to take me over to the hospital.

Once I got there, I called my mom and dad to let them know she was coming early. My mom had tickets purchased to be here for her original birth date. I had to hang up because the nurse came in shortly after. She got me all checked in and hooked up to the monitors. Once they were done, I called my mom back and she told me that she changed her flight and she would be there the next day at 6 pm.

It was a long 22 hours.
Epidural was close to midnight.
My heart rate went up once and everyone had to leave while they gave me medicine to help.
Lots of waiting. Lots of contractions.

I pushed for 2 hours. She got stuck in my birthing canal, so we were off to have an emergency c-section. She was born at 3:37 pm weighing 8 lbs 15 ounces and she was 21 inches long. My mom missed it, but when she got there she was able to see her granddaughter.

Being a mother completely changed my life! I love that girl so much!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 201

What was the worst experience you have ever had with alcohol?

Back in 1999, I had an experience with it where I blacked out. I ended up getting a black eye from hitting my head on the sink. My car was taken that night by the friend I was with. My cousin tried to stop him from taking my car, but she was not able to. He almost totaled the car when he got in an accident due to being drunk. It was definitely one of the worst nights/mornings of my life!

This was the day that I decided to limit my drinking. I might have a drink here or there, but that is all... a drink. I usually won't have more. It's not worth it to me.
