365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 169

What worries you the most?

I am a worry wart as they call it. I always have been. I think I definitely get this trait from my momma. I can't seem to not worry about this or that. It is a hard habit to break. I definitely try all the time, but it isn't easy!

I think the thing I worry most about is my kiddo. She has had a rough time with some friends at school and I just worry about her heart on the inside. The part that she doesn't talk about. I just try to do my best to make sure she is loved!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 168

Favorite Makeup Remover?

My favorite all time makeup remover is Mary Kay's makeup remover. I never have to scrub hard to get it off. And it makes my skin feel so soft afterwards. I definitely would recommend this to anyone.

If you need a Mary Kay gal, my AMAZING friend Ashleen sells it. Her website is:

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 167

How do you handle criticism?

I think I take it pretty hard. I guess I mean that I am hard on myself after hearing criticism. I try to make sure that everyone is happy and is getting along and when I hear any criticism I guess I am hard on myself because I feel like it is my fault in some way that...

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 165

Finding support after your divorce...

I am definitely one of the first people that will tell you that after you get a divorce, you need to find your people. You need to find a few people that you can depend on and talk to at any time through the process.

A divorce is one of the hardest thing I have ever been through. The range of emotions I experienced during it was insane. And it is just as intense. One minute I was happy and the next sad and the next crying and then happy again. It is just an emotional roller coaster and if you don't have some people to share that with, it will be so hard!

Just remember that you have to live your life for you! No one will like everything you do in your life, but that is the beauty of it... it's not their life to live. It's yours! You got this...

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 164

Phone call that changed your life?

I was working one day and I got paged. The number that was on the pager was not my mom's number, but my aunt's number. That right there gave me chills. It was not normal for them to page me.

I called back and my uncle Larry answered. I said that I was paged and told him who I was and he said one second, here is your mom. I heard it in his voice. My heart dropped.

My mom got on the phone and she told me that my cousin Trena killed herself the night before. I fell to my knees, dropped the phone and just cried. It took me a few minutes to pick the phone back up and I told my mom I was on my way. I remember calling my friend Heather to come pick me up, but I didn't want to wait for her to drive all the way to my work, so she met me at my aunt's house.

Definitely the phone call that changed my life.

Words of wisdom for new brides?

Make sure that you have people take tons of pictures.
Make sure that you eat.
Remember this is only one day. Remember to breathe... NOTHING will be perfect. And that is okay. Just make sure you have fun! It will pass quickly!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 158

Favorite road trip you have ever taken?

I have 2.

First one was when my best friend Heather from Louisiana surprised me with a trip up here. My best friend here Jenn watched C one day so we could make a day trip to Forks. It was a great trip driving there and back and then the fun we had in between touring Forks and all the neat places they had for us to look at and then our trip to La Push Beach. Definitely a trip I will remember forever.

Second one was when my husband headed down to Sacramento to be at our brother's wedding. It was a super long drive. I had a bladder infection so there were many stops along the way. The car broke down for 2 hours until a complete stranger helped us. He was an angel sent from God. We watched the wedding and enjoyed some time with them before heading home. It was a great trip and a bonding time with my husband. I love that man!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 155

Let's say you had a young person here and they asked you what lessons life has taught you, what would you tell them?

Life has taught me that it is not easy.
It has taught me that you have to believe in yourself and watch who you trust.
It has taught me that I am beautiful just the way I am, no matter what other people think.
It has taught me that you only get one life. Make it a good one. Do the things you want to if you are able to and enjoy the people God place in your life. Life is too short and they can be taken away from you in a heart beat.

Have fun.
Laugh as much as you can.

Don't give up on anything.
Make sure you love with your whole heart.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 154

If you could roll the clock back to before any incident took place, what would it have been and what would you have done differently?

The only incidents I would roll back to is the suicide of my cousins. I would have loved to be with them and spend more time with them and see if there was any way to talk them out of it.

Happy New Year to us...

A couple weeks before Christmas my sister n law Heather called and we were talking for a little bit and she said: Guess what your brother is buying me for Christmas? Of course I was excited to hear what she was going to be getting... she said, he is buying us tickets to come there the day after New Years day, if that is okay with you?

Man, I was so excited. They haven't been up here for many years and I was just so excited to see them. When we go home, we don't really get too much time together since we have to split our time with everyone else. So, I was super excited.

It was a long count down (really only 3 weeks, but it seemed like forever). But, they finally got here and it was such a great visit. We didn't do anything other than spend time together really visiting and laughing. It was wonderful. We went out to dinner for the oldest's birthday and then we had date night one night at the Cheesecake Factory. We left there coming home with 8 cheesecakes and they were gone by the end of the night. We watched a lot of movies while they were visiting. It was just a wonderful time.

We are super sad they are gone, but definitely a trip to remember. I love and miss them so much! One of my favorite pictures from our dinner out with the kiddos.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 153

Where are you from originally? Where were you born? How long did you live there? Did you like it? Why did you leave, if you left?

I was born and raised in a small town in Southwest Louisiana called Sulphur.
I loved being raised there. You knew almost every one and you lived close to all the family. It was a great way to be raised. I will never forget my childhood and the amazing memories I made.

I met my ex-husband and moved to Washington state when I was 19. I absolutely fell in love with Washington state and the nature... it was where I felt God wanted me to be. I have no regrets about moving. I love it here.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 152

What do you do for a living?
I am an insurance agent.

How long have you been doing that?
Going on 19 years.

How did you get started?
My ex husband worked in an office that was below an insurance agency. He heard they were hiring and got me an interview. I was hired and started shortly after. Well, I am a fast worker and I worked myself out of that job, but landed in another agent's office.

What do you like best about your job?
I like that I get to meet and talk to many different people. I enjoy helping them with their insurance needs and making sure they are covered for the many things that can happen. I enjoy getting to know them throughout my time here.

What do you like the least about your job?

Filing papers.

What would you change if you could?
Paperless for everything!

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 147

What is the last time you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone?

I put originally that I don't recall, but I do.
It would be when I became MOPS coordinator for my MOPS group. I had no idea how to run it and I wanted to make sure I was a great leader. It was definitely not in my comfort zone, but I flourished and it was great.

Also, when my team and I put on our events for MOPS and I have to get up in the front to speak at any point, I am definitely OUTSIDE of my comfort zone. Speaking in front of a crowd of people is not something I am comfortable with.

365 Day Blog Challenge - Day 140

Something you want a second chance on?

I think I have been very blessed in life. All the bad things that I have been through have made me into the person I am today. All the negative people that are no longer in my life are not there for a reason. I absolutely love my life and all the people that are in it.

I don't think I would want a second chance on anything.
